Clonazepam to Lorazepam

Hello. I was on Clonazepam for five years. I think my starting dose was either 0.5mg or 1mg. Over the five years I increased to 2mg. About 2 months ago my prescriber switched me to Lorazepam. The thinking there was that Clonazepam was no longer working and the Lorazepam would. I tapered off the Clonazepam 0.5mg per week while simultaneously increasing the Lorazepam by the same amount. I am now on 3mg of Lorazepam. I question whether this transition was a good idea. The Lorazepam doesn't seem to be doing any better than the Clonazepam did and I think I'm withdrawing from the Clonazepam still. Any advice about this would be appreciated. Thank you.
