Hi,

Please could someone who's experienced heart problems due to benzo W/D and/or other drugs tell if they had any worsening of symptoms during air travel. I get arrhythmias that get worse with physical and other stress, as well as if breathing is restricted. The link here describes caution for people with such problems:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2577402/

"In summary, it appears that altitude can aggravate arrhythmias, particularly during acute exposure and with exercise, in patients with the proper substrate. Air travel alone is probably of low risk, except in those with baseline ventricular and supraventricular arrhythmias in whom added stress of mild hypoxemia might lead to decompensation. Such patients should be cautioned about air travel or be considered for supplemental oxygen."

I am not seeking medical advise on whether air travel is OK for me; I am only looking for experiences, good or bad, that anyone in similar condition had during air travel, that they could please share on this forum.

Thank you for your help.
