Starting Taper Today

Filled with anxiety but trying to stay strong.

 

I have to say this place has been a double edged sword so far. There reassuring and uplifting success stories, and things that scare the living crap out of me. Like how some people can be on a benzo for a few weeks and take months to taper. I know everyone is different and all have their own issues. I'm just praying for a relatively smooth and withdrawal free taper. I think my apprehension of how bad it could be is feedig directly into my anxiety. Anyway, I'm grateful fr everyone here and their help. Like they say in program, take what you need and leave the rest.

My advice is to just be realistic. Don't expect the worst but don't expect to not have any sx either. When they do come on, accept them as a part of the healing process. Take your time, it's not a race.
