Dan is benzo free and can't believe it!

Hi buddies,

 

After 318 days tapering and another year on klonopin and the intermittent use beforehand for god know's how many years, I am officially benzo free as of today, September 7, 2008.

 

Thank you to the admins, mods, and members of buddies and every support group out there.  We need more awareness of the dangers of these and all mind altering prescription medicine.  I never thought that I would have experienced what I have today but I feel, in many ways, lucky that I have.

Well done, my benzo buddy! Thanks for sharing your success. I am just beginning the journey; it is posts like yours that give me strength, courage and hope that I will be able to beat the benzos! Rough journey right now and a long trek ahead.....but I am eager for the day when I, too, can post...I am free from the benzos! I am so grateful that I found benzobuddies and for all the support so freely offered here.

Yep certainly feels good.  Today had a bit of stress and it set off some s/x but I've got to get used to it.  This is sober living after all.
