Sobering article on increase in home drug fatalities

Especially disturbing to me is the quote from the UC San Diego researcher: "The amount of medical supervision is going down and the amount of responsibility put on the patient's shoulders is going up."

 

No wonder there are so many "accidental addicts" out there!

Yahoo and AOL both had links to articles about the huge increase in deaths due to medication errors.  But will prescribing practices change because of it?  I think not.
