Osteopenia

Recommended Posts

Hi, Buddies,

I have just been diagnosed with osteopenia, which is thinning bones--not as bad as osteoporosis, but lower bone density than a normal person my age (34). I was just wondering if anyone else here has this and had tips of things that worked for them. I know that I'll want calcium and vitamin D, etc., but the doctor also said that weight-bearing exercise is good. Anyone have any particular exercise regimen that helped them?

Hi, Bobers and Cheryl,

Thanks for your responses. Cheryl, I found that site also, and there is certainly a lot of information on it. It seems very helpful. Thank you!
