otc pain reliever

Should i use an otc  pain reliever to get through the pain of withdraw?  Or will there be side effects from it?

When I had aches and pains during my taper, regardless of the cause, I pretty much stuck to Tylenol or Advil.  I didn't have any problem with either (taken as directed, of course).  Tylenol is okayed by Prof Ashton, btw. 

Prolonged use can increase blood pressure but if it's only a couple of days, probably ok to use an otc pain reliever.

NSAIDS are weak GABA agonist, so there might be a slight reaction.  On the other hand, paracematol (acetaminophen) acts on opiods receptors.  Taken for extended periods they down regulate opioid receptors and you get rebound pain from it as well, but I took it in the thick of acute withdrawal and it did help.  My vote is on acetaminophen.
