[ro...]
Just wondering if anyone has tried time-released melatonin to stay asleep. If so, any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!
[fi...]
I haven't tried time-released melatonin but I have tried standard melatonin. It actually seemed to keep me awake and I woke up early. I also had a headache and bad taste in my mouth. I decided not to try it again. Just my experience. Sincerely, fg
[he...]
Time released melatonin affects my mind in a weird way compared to the regular one. However I take the regular one (3mg) at 6pm and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I had stabilized for about 3 months on the same level of benzo (I'm on Lorazepam) and found I could take it every night at 6 and by 8-9 o'clock I couldn't keep my eyes opened. Now having cut dosage and into big withdrawal again, the melatonin for me doesn't seem to work initially. However in week three now I'm stabilizing a little more and finding it works better but not every night. When I wake up in the early morning I take another 3mg. I think it is something good to hang onto and may help more and more as we heal. Of course, not totally sure. I've heard other women not on benzos or other drugs say it works for them. Hope it helps you at least some of the time. Heartland.
