Aleve/Naproxen - Need Advice

Hi BBs,

 

Had a small fender bender in the morning, would like to take something for inflammation...any suggestions??? Can I take Aleve? I know it is an NSAID...am I just looking at an increase in withdrawal symptoms for a day???

 

 

Hi Freedom, so sorry about your accident!

I cannot take any NSAID of any kind, as it knocks me down for days. That is just my experience. Only thing I can take is tylenol, which is not very helpful.  I use my heating pad and hot water bottle a lot.  Hope you are feeling better soon!

You can try it. It doesn't bother everyone, but it sure bothered me. In fact, getting off NSAIDs resulted in all my withdrawal symptoms clearing up.

Thankfully NSAIDs don't seem to worsen my w/d sx (yet...I hope they never do!!). I'd try it once and see what happens as they may not bother you.
