Increased Libido?

Howdy all! When I first started tapering I had NO libido!! Now I'm like a stallion! LOL! I think of sex all day long! Seriously, just a little wild! I think it is because my nervous system is awakening and with that awakening everything else is awakening if you know what I mean! I know a lot of people are saying why complain but when your thinking about it all day it becomes a little annoying!

Lol much or too little is always bad...honestly my gf would wish I have your prob Haha. I basically have to force it now so she doesn't feel neglected.  I think she's beautiful I just have no drive

When I did a benzo c/t, I couldn't last 5 seconds. Literally. In and done. Try that one. Worst sexual side effect EVER.

 

Now while tapering my libido ebbs and flows.

Funny you should mention this because I was just thinking about starting a thread about sexual side effects of benzos.

 

I have had issues with this ever since I started on the AD's and benzos.

 

In the beginning it was the Zoloft that messed everything up for me, but now a few years later I suspect that the clonazepam is the culprit for me not enjoying sex nearly as much as I used to.

 

This makes sense when you think about it. I'm sure we can all agree that the benzo's blunt many aspects of life. Why would it be any different for sex?

 

I mentioned this to my doctor and she wanted to write me a viagra scrip. I was like, "no, no, no, you don't understand....I don't have a problem getting aroused, I just don't enjoy it as much and have problems finishing". At that point she had no solution.

 

Looking forward to the day when I am no longer a benzo zombie. This stuff really messes people up. I'm guessing that I will be pleasantly surprised at how good life is once I am normal again.

Wheew thanks God u started this thread..Yoda ...I feel you..This is 1 of my new sxs and im a girly..So its very hard and very distracting my god all day everyday come on...Thats just crazyness lol..For me its like sure i used to get excited but this is like overdrive and its makeing me CRAZY...Hey early on in w/d i was like why cant i get the euphoric sx..Hehe  i say becareful what u wish for ..I so wish me and my husband werent almost seperated to deal with this alone just is cruel i tell u...Hehe oh well lets see how today goes ... jenny

yep during w/d 7 weeks ago i had some great times :-)

then AFU from w/d no interest at all except wishing the feel good chemicals could be let go..

now it's coming....ooops ... back.

It's getting harder.. err.. easier to feel desire.

to bad wife goes to sleep early but we'll just wait till she gets home from work

It amazes me how this little drug bring havoc to almost every single part of the body including are little buddies! Only the devil could invent something this evil!

After my cold turkeys, (at least the first major one) my libido skyrocketed and my response was incredible.  Thank God my husband could keep up with me .  I mean the weekends - 3 times a day and almost every night!

 

Then I resinstated and all the desire and response was so dulled and here I am missing that physical and emotional intimacy.  It's incredibly sad for me and he has a hard time understanding.

You are right that the greek word for sorcery or witchcraft in the Bible is pharmakeo or as we now it pharmacy! Drugs mess with every aspect of  person being- emotion, physical and spiritual!

Sorry Jenny! People don't seem to realize that this "symptom" can be very problematic for people!! It is really bad! I feel like an unregenerate! I think it is also the summer tends to create a higher libido. However, I think the main reason is that we are healing!

Well... we are all adults here and I don't want to seem like a perv. BUT while on the Klonopin at high mg's I, well... had some wild times and didn't even realize it... I did, but didn't... that comes back to haunt me somewhat, and sends me thinking deeply.. but the fact is... I wish I had never did it...

BUT now, at a lower mg.. those thoughts! I look back and it's regretful.. I don't live like that, wild sex and so on... I'm not trying to be a perv. BUT the way I feel... I guess now my desire comes with more passion and so on... not just "sex"...

S#.. from were i was omg yes ..I was bedridden with muscle tone and mass all gone couldnt walk talk write ..And about 25 more sxs..But come month 7 ive been in a window hasent shut ..Still have burning skin muscle spasms twitches lump in my throat and vibes ..But there so bareable i live very normal again,,Well now this new sxs..haha...

You will get that increase in libido, Defaulted! Give your body time to heal and you will be surprised!

I'm still nowhere hear where I used to be in that department. I still think it's from the benzo's. I remember when I complained to my doctor about it I initially thought it was a side effect left over from the zoloft which really did a number on me. Now I'm thinking it was the clonazepam all along. Haven't felt up to par sexually since I started the zoloft but before that I was fine. Even talked to the doc about getting on testosterone supplementation due to my poor mood and lack of sexual motivation, even though I tested at normal levels.

Yes, this drug initially caused me to have a  significant decrease in libido as I began to taper I saw an even more lowered libido. As I began to heal my libido has skyrocketed.

Yoda same here..I was also on percocets for yrs due to siatic nerve damage and then the valuim... I beleive it effected my drive terribley..Now im free of all meds for 1 year next month i feel everything is now awakening ...But good lordy this is a powerful 1... ..Blessing?!?!?!  Or Curse?!?!? hmmmm...Jenny
