Trazadone interfere with recovery?

I am 3 months off Klonopin and it's getting slightly worse. I have been taking Trazadone nightly to sleep. Is that OK from others' experience or is that prolonging my recovery?

Since Trazadone doesn't affect the same part of the brain I don't feel you need to worry and if it's helping you sleep then that's a good thing.

Even though trazadone is an AD, it doesn't act like one in lower doses. In lower doses it basically acts like a benadryl, with it's antihistamine properties. If it had helped me during WD I would have used it for the insomnia!! So if it were helping me, I wouldn't worry about it. You can always get rid of it later.

At a year off benzos, I finally caved to taking a small dose of trazodone at bedtime for sleep.  I have zero regrets about that decision since I'm sure it helped me turn the corner to good sleep - a real life saver in my case and I tolerate traz just fine.
