Feeling betrayed

I did such a slow, steady, incremental taper that took 4 years and when I jumped I really thought the worst was past. Now I am in unremitting agony and on top of that I feel so betrayed.

What was your life like while tapering, were you able to participate in life events with family, work and friends?  I'm trying to get an idea of your functionality.
