Scared

Im female age 40. Staff nurse and alcoholoic. Currently on a librium home detox. Have been on zopicline for at least a year. I want to be completely sober from meds if possible.

Welcome to BenzoBuddies, we are glad you are here!  I do understand your feeling scared - I felt the same way early in my taper.  We can support you as you proceed through this process.  Are you doing your own taper or is your doctor guiding you?  We suggest a slow taper with reductions in the 5-10% range every two weeks or so.  Going slow allows you to stay functional and minimizes withdrawl symptoms.  I've put a link below to The Ashton Manual which is the guide we refer to for benzo withdrawl.
