I know there is increased irritation and sadness. But does emotional numbness get worse?

Currently going through this. For myself, it's like a horrific combination of severe anxiety/hyperawareness, all shrouded by DPDR and emotional numbness. So I can't even experience the pain enough to process it if that makes sense.

Then I just feel like staring at the wall because I can't feel anything, and frankly, it's worse than all the emotional pain in the world.
