Sodium Valproate effects on Clonazepam/BZD tapering, GABA?

Hi,

Does anybody know that starting to take Sodium Valproate (it effects GABA too) can effect ongoing Clonazepam tapering?

Can it damage GABA on any way like BZD-s do?

Can it be addictive? (however articles say no)

They want me to prescribe Sodium Valproate in place of Lithium, and I'm collecting experiences before agreeing.

We have a search engine in the upper right corner of the homepage.  I put in sodium valproate and didn't get any matches but you might try the trade name of what they want you to take and see if you get any matches of old threads.

P.S.  I just put in sodium valproate and got some matches.  Just be careful that you look for information the members put there that is backed by reliable resources.
