Doubt about DOSE switchover .

I know that if you take a benzo your body has a few weeks to tolerate it. Does anyone know how many weeks? The reason i ask is  is that I increased over  no more than month from 1 dose to 5 doses zanax (10 drops=0.25mg) to 50 drops=1.25mg)).

In theory ashcroft would have me on 100 drops of valium (20mg) if i count the 5 doses of xanax. Is this rule of the 2 week tolerance valid here.? Ie can i start at the equivalent of 1 zanax (0.25 mg)??

I thought i d follow the valium  equivalent of 0.25mg for 3 weeks to see if I have withdrwal symptoms.  Can anyone help?

bri, I'm no math expert but could you rephrase this question to bring some clarity to it?  It just isn't clear enough to me to understand it and it might not be to others as well.  Thanks.
