Numb

I am in the process of switching from Xanax to diezepam and notice I feel numb. I don’t feel much of anything else. Is this from the crossover? or has anyone experienced this during crossover to Valium?

Are you talking about emotionally numb?

I felt that way for most of my recovery, I couldn't connect with any of my healthy feelings, no love or empathy, certainly no joy and I couldn't cry, I was pretty much dead inside.  Valium is known for two unpleasant qualities, sedation and depression but I'm told these pass when your body gets used to it, I wonder if this numbness is another form of the depression?
