Need help tapering Ativan SUBLINGUAL

FAILED 5 month crossover attempt to diazepam (Ashton equivalencies seemed to high). Was splitting and taking half of .5 mg SUBLINGUAL ATIVAN at same time as diazepam.

Ended up going from 1 mg SUBLINGUAL ATIVAN TO 1.5 mg (.5 mg 3 times a day)

Bad withdrawal symptoms: burning extremities, ? Akathesia/vibrations, cold hands/arms fluctuate, tinnitus, insomnia.

How can I successfully taper off this SUBLINGUAL Ativan?

We don't see many use these pills but I did a search and found a couple of posts about members dry cutting their tablets.  Do the sublingual agree with you more than the regular tablets?  I'm sorry you had to go up in dose after your failed crossover.

Would you be interested in asking your doctor for a script of liquid Ativan made by the manufacturer?  https://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov

Just like everyone else, there are lots of ways to do this.  I know the pills are small but have you seen this? Titration FAQ's

Let us know if you'd be interested in some help figuring out what you'd like to do.
