Hi, Meganz!  So sorry your son has pink eye; that is no fun at all.  If I were you, I wouldn't assume that you are going to get it as well.  Good hand washing and not sharing items will usually do the trick.  I found that the warm compresses really do work (just use a clean compress every time) and mild infections can oftentimes go away on their own even without any treatment.  Ahh, the joys of parenting.  Hang in there mom!
