Just had heart broken- anyone here survive a breakup in WD?

Girlfriend of three years just left me. 6 months into this nightmare from 2 weeks of binge. Anyone else experience a breakup during WD?

HurricaneSeason, I am so sorry to hear this.  There is no good time for a relationship you care about to end but during withdrawl seems terribly hard!

I haven’t experienced this, but I dropped by to say that I’m SO sorry that you’re going through this when you’re already facing an incredibly difficult situation. It’s something nobody should have to go through. You’re in my thoughts.

Try to shift your focus to completely be on yourself. Take care of yourself, eat, try to get well. After you heal you will be a new person and ready to find someone new. I know it hurts and probably hurts worse than it would normally, but right now try to shift every ounce of energy you have onto making yourself well and then worry about relationships. It will get better for you, hang in there.
