Genetic testing

Hey all

 

I did some genetic testing to see what meds work best with my body.

The results showed that my body cannot metabolize most psych meds like normal people

I asked why, and the doctor told me it’s just due to genetics. That the results are based off certain dna strands I have, or something I can’t really understand.

 

You guys should all try this if you can. It made so much sense to me.

PS - they also showed meds I CAN tolerate. None of which I’ve ever tried before. But it was comforting to see that maybe some meds wouldn’t hurt me.

That’s interesting, is it a specific test or is it enough a genetic test like 23and me?

I don’t think so. A medical doctor took the swab. The fda approved the test.
