Help!

An odd thing has been happening the last few weeks or so after I eat. About 20 mins later my CNS feels inflamed, adrenaline / cortisol or something rush occurs which then clouds cognition badly. I become completely non-functional.

I have never had issues with food but my diet has changed since tapering began in Mar 2020 (rebooted in June). I do not eat or drink added sugars, highly processed foods,  caffeine or alcohol, etc. I eat lean proteins, olive oils, veggies, fruits, greens, nuts, whole grain bread on occasion, oatmeal, etc. I do get a small window in evening when it's less intense, but there nevertheless.

Is it a glutamate thing caused by benzos? This is really intolerable  :(

Anyone experience this phenomenon?

I have this surging/rush feeling every time I eat.  It has slowly improved over time but it is still happening 10 months after jumping.  I cant link it to any food - and I eat everything no restrictions on diet.

I do have sensitivity to medication and supplements that cause the same surging feeling.  Also have it in the mornings.

Are you still tapering?  Can you find any patterns?

Unfortunately, I am still tapering - am at .7mg k and holding for a few weeks now so I can move, etc. I'm not functional as it is.

Sounds like the exact same thing, I've got tremendous anxiety right now (morning) and I haven't eaten yet. Haven't really identified any patterns apart from sugar/high carb foods seem to be worse. Eggs, hummus, bananas seem not as harsh.

I split my daily .7mg into 3 doses, 10:30am;5:30pm;10:30pm - somehow they've evolved a bit uneven & I have a window of about an hour or so after taking each, especially the larger 5:30pm dose. I can't imagine after jumping, already at 145 lbs from 180lbs in a year.

I'm also very sensitive to meds, supplements, etc. I am a 59 yo man and have endured some pain in my life, but when I eat it will be humbling, I often writhe in agony & weep. Not a very dignified existence!

Thanks for replying, I hope & pray it improves. Sux to suffer daily.
