old pain flares up

Do think it can be due to withdrawal that old nerve pain flares up? 20 years ago after a op I developed severe pain (CRPS) in my right hand and arm. I was fine for the last few years. Only until I jumped last April. The severe pain came back. I was ok again for the last two months. Last night after an hour of sleep it started again. I suffer awful pain in my whole body but that one is even worse. Do you think this also could be because the nerves are about to rebuild? Thanks!
