Male UTI is Omnicef antibiotic safe please help?

I have already in the past during my withdrawal 8 years ago I took Cipro and almost died. I was bedridden for 18 months and lost 80 lbs. I’m so scared to take another antibiotic but I have a bad UTI it hurts so bad they said it’s a medium risk UTI and I have seen white mucus in my urine so I guess I have an infection. So I have researched everything about it contacted the doctor office and the pharmacist. My concern is about taking it because I’m still on Serquol and I’m Ativan free almost 10 months I pray that I don’t have a reaction I’m so scared and anxiety thru the roof. However the pain is unbelievable after urinating and I have the bilateral flank pain and back pain I sure hope it helps please pray for me
