Low fever off and on for a week

Been experiencing a low fever of 99+ but usually below 100. Started a week ago with diarrhea and I didn’t even know I was running a fever when I went to my doctors appointment. Negative test for Covid. Feeling tired and sometimes will have light pains around stomach. Saw doctor yesterday and he doesn’t suspect appendix but maybe bowel or colon inflammation or colitis. I did extensive bloodwork yesterday and urine and stool sample. He ordered a stat CT of abdomen and pelvis but of course insurance has to approve first. I don’t remember having a low grade fever that lasted a week. Sometimes I even feel hot 🥵 but not running a fever.  Anyone else experienced these symbols and what did it turn out to be? I wish I could get a diagnosis already and I’m surprised no doctor has given me antibiotics since this has been going on for a week.
