Never Used Benzo's Before

I am joining because I have continued to receive conflicting and or misinformation from different Dr.'s.  Currently taking Valium was taking Ativan. Tried tapering off Ativan but was switched to Valium and am stuck in need of assistance.

Not many doctors understand what happens to people like us, those who will have extreme symptoms while taking and withdrawing from the drug, so we're left to find help elsewhere.  Valium is actually the better benzo to withdraw from, its long half life makes for a smoother taper with less interdose withdrawal.

 

How can we help, we typically suggest reducing your dose by about 5-10% every week or two but advise following your symptoms, they should guide you so you can remain functional.
