Tapering Abilify?

Hi y’all!

I started Abilify (atypical antipsychotic) in June 2021 for mild auditory hallucinations right around the time I jumped off of Klonopin. I read that it can cause akathesia as well as other symptoms. My auditory hallucinations are still present (I’m 66 days off Klonopin) but they’ve decreased quite a bit. Voices don’t talk to me but I hear chatter inside my head only (tough to explain, I don’t hear things out loud, just inside my head, like it’s interrupting my thoughts). Any advice on Abilify or how to taper? I just don’t feel this med is helping and I’d like to get off

I take Abilify due to the same symptoms you describe as well as visual hallucinations. I still get them but the medicine cuts them in half I dare say.

I also have tapered down from 20 to 15 with relative ease but I will caution I forgot my dose one day and got a horrible headache and inner shaking.
