[Pa...] Posted June 29, 2021 Share Posted June 29, 2021 I've read many member posts who say they've had a reaction to an antibiotic but it's usually short in duration so try not to panic because the stress of that will make your symptoms worse. Guest [fl...] Posted June 29, 2021 Share Posted June 29, 2021 I did a quick search regarding clindamycin. It appears to slightly decrease dopamine, but otherwise does not effect GABA. Decreased dopamine can be associated with increased serotonin, which can make you feel off. This should stabilize quickly. Gut bacteria are quickly wiped out by clindamycin - more so than many other antibiotics. Gut bacteria is also quite resilient, but maybe consider some good probiotics if you can tolerate them.
