Half way through the Withdrawl.

Wanted to start a thread here as I return to some sort of stable. As I look at my progress and holds I am doing a quicker taper than I thought with linear percentage cuts… I have now held twice and am

Returning to stable on day 4 of my second hold. I will continue to cut hopefully starting tomorrow.

Current sxs:

GI issues: pain, ibs

Fatigue: stamina, cog fog

Depression

Anxiety

Issues with sleeping

Back to almost stable. Again, w/d symptoms were very similar to first wave:

Anger>GI Issues (diarrhea most of the day)>Unrelenting fatigue>Shaky>Depression

Then when holding, below symptoms dropped in order from left to right:

Anger>GI Issues (continue but less intense)>Shaky>Fatigue>Depression

I made a small 1% cut last night and will hopefully stay at this pace for the week... hopefully. If everything goes alright, I will be down in the .3's. Phew.

Comment if you want to follow, this has been a tough road. I hope to someday write a success story and help others through this journey.

Currently using the below for sleep:

1/8-1/4 Unisom: Only if needed. Maybe 2x a week. Can sometimes feel the grogginess in the AM

1/4 trazodone: Emergency only

GI Issues:

Thymoquinone @ 10%

Depression:

Cymbalta 60mg-- this is another mountain I will climb once I am recovered from Benzo... for now I'm not going to touch it.

Doing alright, the same symptoms are waxing and waning as I continue the taper.

Most triggering is the GI pain and distress.

One day at a time.

Just an update!

I slowed down my taper last week and I think this taper rate is manageable for now with the withdrawal sxs.

Doing alright, one day at a time!

Will update at the end of the week, hopefully I will be in the .2x mg range.

Made it down to .25mg k and am doing “okay”

So far the main sxs that lasts most of the day is GI issues… bloating, abdominal pain, tightness, constipation …. Etc.

Mornings I have a slight headache that subsides.

I might hold for a bit to see if the GI symptoms improve.. any advice here? Or keep going?

The only down side to holding is you loose a couple of days at most. Fact that you question yourself, should make you stear to the cautious side.

You're down to the last quarter.

It might need a slower taper or not , who knows.

I kept at my same pace, GI symptoms stayed the same and may have improved a little. Down to .2mg, stable!! Feeling good about this… don’t want to jynx it. Listening to my body and taking it day by day.

Looking solid.

What is your jump dose?

I think they should rename it into a more positive safe word.

The word jump is a trigger imo.

WOOOOOH! Down to .1mg of K tonight. Yup. .1!!!! Feeling good, honestly once I got past .25 and kept going my symptoms started to improve… what!?! I started doing things I used too… trail run, train my hunting dog, go out to eat with friends, working out, returning to my old self… so glad to almost be done with this crap. If I keep feeling this well I plan to jump in 1-2 weeks : :D

Grats on the jump !!

One more benzo free. Really proud of you.

These stories really inspire others.

What dose did you jump?

Would you jump lower if you had to do it again?
