Best way to cut pills for direct simple tapers

I have a good mg scale. What is the best way to cut my .5mg klonopin pills. Today, I used a razor blade and cut too much off so added tiny bits until I got close to the desired weight.  The pills weigh .2001g and my goal is to cut/shave down to .161g.  The closest I got was .163g so just went with that.

Have you tried using a nail file. A lot of members use a nail file to shave or carve off minuscule amounts of a pill.  Take a swipe or two with the nail file, then weight the pill.  Keep filing and reweighing the pill until the desired weight is a achieved.
