What can I expect for my aging parents?

My parents are in their early 70s and on low doses of daily benzos but also Ambien and gabapentin. They’ve been on them for maybe 3-5 years and don’t seem to have interdose withdrawal issues.

 

They have no intention of stopping these drugs. So my question is, what should I expect as they age into late 70s and beyond?

It's impossible to know.  They might go on taking those drugs for the rest of their lives with little issue.

My grandma been in benzo since 1991 (low dose when needed) she is now 82 and she is more fit then me mentally and physically. I’m not saying that benzo is good!!
