Happy post: Feeling normal for over a month

After spending 2.5 years on the couch with every symptom imaginable, pain, DP,DR, depression including ideation, I honestly didn’t believe I’d ever be able to get back into life and the suffering would be permanent....It appears I was wrong. While the next year was a definite improvement it was still rocky and I still had waves. But since January I’ve been feeling just like my old self, I’m exercising, I’m working 4 days a week and I’m socialising. I think it’s a little too early to say I’m 100% healed and write a success story but fingers crossed it’s around the corner. I remember the darkness of my first 2.5 years, I thought I was forever gone, and just wanted to shine some hope onto people who are stuck there right now that the old you is still there and you will feel normal again. I had a severe withdrawal including hallucinations and I was kindled and protracted and still am doing so much better. You will too xoxo

This was a great read! Thank you. I have a little over 2 weeks left on my taper and I am worried when I take my last dose. This is good news to hear and I am happy for you  :)

That's good. How's your fatigue now?

My fatigue is a lot better. If I push myself I still get a bit of it, but that can be said for most people. I’d say for the last 6 weeks it’s 80% better. I can actually exercise again and that’s a big thing because I couldn’t for so long and it used to be a big part of my life.

Sunshine, I've been thinking about you and SO SO GLAD you posted!  I have followed your journey as it has been close to my own and I always look to you to see how you are doing. I am 25 months off and better but still so bad so much of the time. Trying to work and starting a full-time job on Monday which terrifies me but I need to work. Thank you for your words of hope  :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Hey there warrior24. When I was 25 months off I was still in the thick of it symptom wise, my fatigue was still terrible and I spent many days on the couch. It was around 30 months off when I started to have proper windows that lasted more than a day. I’ve spoken to a lot of people who turned a corner around that time. Hopefully things get better for you soon. I know how bad it can be, *hugs* but you will be your old self again, don’t lose hope.
