How do I decrease .25 milligrams from 1 milligram pill

Ok.  I will try cutting into quarters. and I am currently on 2mg of Ativan per day and I am trying to cross over to 10 mg of  valium per day.

That amount could leave you under medicated, do you plan to introduce the Valium slowly while withdrawing the Ativan as Professor Ashton did?  This is a sample of an Ativan crossover, it's for 3 mgs but you get the idea.  This is necessary because Valium takes longer to build up in your blood than Ativan so if you withdraw the Ativan too quickly you could be left feeling pretty bad.

Yes, I plan on introducing the valium beginning with 5mg for the crossover.
