Panic attack from going cold turkey

The doctor wouldn't renew my prescription of temazapam.  I ran out of pills yesterday.  Having a panic attack this morning.  Only slept 4 hours.

I don't know if I can get the doctors to renew prescription at all.

Need advice.

Can a person have anxiety and panic from sleeping pills.

I have had anxiety and panic ever since I have been on sleeping pills.

Need advice.

Of course, that's regular benzodiazepine withdrawal symptoms.

Temazepam is what I started on. Then started getting bad anxiety panic attacks and insomnia while I was still taking it. Tolerance. Then I got swapped to zopiclone and all hell broke loose.

 

U got 4 hrs sleep that is fantastic.

 

How long have u been taking it what dose ect?

I have been taking 60 mg of tempazapam.  I started on it in August 2017.

If I were u I would slowly drop the morning dose first. Or swap to Valium. I never took more than 10mg of temazepam but took higher doses of zopiclone. The only way is off. Increasing doses as u know don’t make u feel better for long if at all. Ur gp needs to help u do this as they are negligent allowing u to take those high doses.

Thanks Buddy, I tried taking 15mg of temzapam in the morning, but it doesn't stop the fear. The only thing that stops it is 30 mg in the am  or Ativan and I can't get the doctor's to give me Ativan.

Can u ask ur dr to swap to Valium? Print out the Ashton manual and take it with you?

I'll see if I can get a tranquilizer like Valium.
