[se...] Posted January 20, 2021 Share Posted January 20, 2021 Hello. My details are in my signature but to summarize. Klonopin started on 8/24/20 for 0.5 mg at night for sleep. Dosage was upped to 0.25 mg 3x a day on 9/18/2020. Stopped cold turkey on 10/5/20 with support from doctor. 1.5 to 2 weeks later or so I started feeling withdrawal symptoms (higher anxiety, shaking, etc.). Around 10/20/2020 I went back to taking 0.5 mg per day and was on a taper down to 0.125 mg. On December 19 had a medical setback and went back up to 0.5 mg at night and .12 during day. Really want to reinstate my taper to push to get off Klonopin. My doctor prescribed for me generic Zoloft 50 mg to start taking. Very concerned about starting a SSRI while tapering. I have only taken 1 Zoloft so far. Is it better to wait on the SSRI and taper the Klonopin or start and monitor? Appreciate any feedback.
