Phantosmia

Coming off Valium after 2 years for essential tremors and have developed phantosmia.  Wanting know if this is an symptom of Valium usage  Y

I experienced this, I smelled things that weren't there, in fact I called the gas company when I smelled gas coming from my neighbors meter only to have them come out and say, nope, wasn't happening.  I've read other members mention this symptom as well.

You're welcome to start a thread on the  Withdrawal Support (during your taper) board to get other members input, I imagine you'll get quite a few replies.

Is there anything else we can help you with, what is your taper like, are you doing this slowly?  Let us know how we can help.
