Buspar

Anyone have any luck with supplementing with Buspar while titrating off a benzo?  I’m taking mirtazipine, and my doc prescribed Buspar to take along with it and the Ativan that I want to get off.  Buspar and mirtazipine has a major warning when combining the two drugs for seratonin syndrome.  I’m half afraid to take it even though the doc told me that he’s treated many with this combol

I am taking 15 mg Buspirone 2x/day along with 100 mg/day.  Doc wanted me to take the buspirone to try and help when I get off the Lorazepam/Ativan.  She said the meds I'm taking get along well with each other.  I'm afraid I don't know anything about mertazipine.  Think I would check with your pharmacist.
