Pretty revealing documentary on the impotence of the FDA to fight Big Pharma's "profits over pain" philosophy. Top salesman grew a conscience and details the illegal and immoral attitudes by sales/marketing staff. Also tells Pharma's play book.

 

 

Makes me question other FDA decisions in past year.

Some Sackler family members of Purdue Phama, used similar tactics as John Kapoor of Insys Therapeutics to promote excessive use of their pain medications but they have not received criminal sentences even though their Company has pleaded guilty to criminal charges. Justice in not always impartial and objective. On the other hand, there are multitudes of chronic pain patients who suffer debilitating non-cancer related pain for which the legitimate and judicious use of pain medication improves their quality of life and imo that sort of use of pain medication is a decision that should be made between the patient and their prescribing medical professionals.
