How do I lessen this withdrawal right now?

I got prescribed and took 2.5 mgs xanax on Monday to help with my alcohol withdrawal. I only took it the one time but am definitely having xanax withdrawal right now. I know because I've withdrawn from it before at least 60 times. I'm definitely kindled.. should I just dump them? Or should I take .5 mgs and then dump? I'm miserable right now. HELP

 

It is probably best to stabilize at the lowest dose that you can. And then you can attempt to very slowly taper. Dr. Reg Peart recommends cutting 2.5% off of total dose per week. When you're kindled it doesn't work like it normaly should. I got into cold-turkey withdrawal from only 2 days of use, and I didn't think I should taper for half-a-year because of it, but I should have.
