Anyone attempted to crossover at lower dose?

First of all pardon me for messaging so much recently but I've been getting such great advice, where else would I go 

 

Back in May I read and followed the Ashton Manual to a T. Crossing over from 3mg Ativan to 30mg Diazepam. I found the more I increased the diazepam and lowered the Ativan the more depressed I got until when I was on the full 30mg I was an emotional wreck, crying from the minute I woke up and horrendous Suicidal thoughts. I crossed back over and have since tapered down to 2mg Ativan.

 

My question is has anyone ever had a failed attempt at crossing over the first time but tried again at a lower dose and had a better result?

Have you asked the folks on the  Valium Support Group thread, there's a lot of collective knowledge about Valium there.
