How do you help your friends

My friend is on antidepressants and gabapentin and possibly other things and her doctor called her and said her recent blood test shows dangerous levels of Serotonin. He recommended going to the hospital tomorrow and gave her a script for benzos. I’m worried and wish I could convince her of the danger of benzos. I also understand the danger of Serotonin syndrome so I guess there be is risk Either way.

They do give out benzos for serotonin syndrome.  If I understand it correctly, it would be the antidepressants that were causing the serotonin syndrome, so she may have to go off of those.  I would definitely say something to her about the risk of dependence on benzos.  Even if she does take them, you have said your piece.
