Been put on 40 mg valium sept 7th. Been wanting off since.

Friends...was put on 40m g valium for anxiety and to cover anxiety from klonopin 0.5 mgs been on for sleep. I've only been on a month or so and most of that has been tapering at a rather fast pace. Im down to 20 mgs. Considering the short time I've been on them my thoughts were to move off quickly since at this point I'm not getting any withdrawal....thoughts?

Diazepam has extremely long half-life so it may take some time for you to start feeling the cuts.

If you've been on them only a month, you might not have developed a tolerance, hence there might not be any withdrawal symptoms. I know it's different for everybody - some people need a week to get hooked, others need several months. Speaking from my personal experience, it took me several months before I was really addicted AGAIN to benzos. So, try to speed up the process to see how you're doing. You might be completely okay. Don't delay what could be still your saving grace now, trust me.
