Is Truxal (Chlorprothixene) dangerous?

Hi there,

I am taking this drug since I stopped benzos 18 months ago to help me fall asleep every night. To be honest I feel sick almost all the time and my heart beats very fast and my sleep is still very bad, nonrestorative. I see a lot of people on the forum commenting how antipsychotics are the worst of all the drugs and I am confused because my psychiatrist told me Truxal is one of the weakest class of antipsychotics and I am taking the smallest dose (15 to 30mg daily) so it should not be dangerous. Is there anyone with experience with this drug and how did you get rid of it, how long did the withdrawal last?
