anyone here have COPD?

Hi again,

I have "moderate emphysema" and there seems nothing I can take for sleep that doesn't risk respiratory depression.  Anyone know of a safe and effective sleep aid for those with COPD?

Sorry for your sleep woes, but nothing short of an Rx drug is going to give you any relief, IMO.

 

Healing and restoring sleep doesn't happen until you are completely off and you are still tapering.

 

Sleep will be UP and down for some time after you are off, but will eventually even out.

 

IMO, I wouldn't look for one Rx drug to treat the temporary damage caused by a Benzo

 

However, you have to do what you think is best for you! Some have success with low dose Seroquel, but

I am not sure how that would affect your lungs and COPD?

Thank you!  I asked my pulmonologist and he said no Rx but I could use anything over the counter.  That's mostly the antihistamines, I guess.  They DO affect my breathing, I think, even at a very low dose.  I'd love to know if CBD oil works!

CBD oil works for some.  It didn't work for me regardless of the dose.

 

It could work for you and should not mess with your COPD/lung function?
