[La...] Posted September 29, 2020 Share Posted September 29, 2020 The road has not been easy My journey ever so tough You tried to make me quit When the going was rough I picked up my sword to fight This unknown frienemy Not a friend of any kind at all That would do this to me It squeezed my brain hard Trying to make me bend I yelled that it's a liar I'm refusing to give in As I fought back it grew weak Beginning to ease its grip That's right I said proudly You're not making me slip I'm a tiger warrior surviving Yes I'll make it through Looking to have my life back Sparkling and brand new Waves still come crashing Even getting in my way But, I have my eyes on the prize And I'm celebrating 100 days today Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Maybe one day in my not so boaty future, I'll host another poetry event. My survior's prayer is that each of us will soon be whole again. WE GOT THIS BECAUSE WE GOT EACH OTHER!
