[...]
'm needing some advise for my taper. i have been using xanax ( 1mg) nightly only for approximately 1 year purely to relax no current anxiety issues ,i have done a taper before(2015 did not use benzos again until 2019) using the Ashton taper method under the guide of a addiction specialist that was very brutal and i didn't know at the time i had the option to control the taper. This time I'm wanting to do it without medical assistance unless i believe my physical or mental health is suffering greatly and could use additional assistance. I'm aware xanax has a very short life so have divided my dose into 3x daily 0.25 morning , 0.25 midday and 0.50 night to avoid interdose withdrawal as i have a job which i can not afford to lose and requires a lot of focus and attention . I'm stuck as to how to daily micro taper do i take my cut from the total daily dose amount or cut from 1 of the three daily doses until down to 2 then 1 etc. i have been tapering for 2 weeks and cut 10% so far symptoms have been uncomfortable but not agony . Any advise is much appreciated
[Pa...]
Hello Mae1, I'm sorry, I've just now seen your post, do you still need assistance? Pamster
[jl...]
You would cut from the total daily dose put the pill in 300 ml of water, take out 1/4 teaspoon the first day, then 2nd day take out 1/2 teaspoon then 3rd day take out 3/4 teaspoon day 4 take out 1 teaspoon day 5 11/4 teaspoon day 6 11/2 teaspoon etc. keep taking off another 1/4 teaspoon more than you did the day before. After 30 days this will be about 12 percent reduction rate. It will take about 8 months to complete this. You can take your cup of water and drink out of it as many times as you want each day. 3 times a day would be good
