[He...]
This happens. Last night feel like I did not sleep. I know I did sleep some. I got to accept that some nights are like that and not panic and get upset. Sometimes if sleep is poor next night is better. Can just hope that. [He...]
Hard thing about not sleeping good is I wonder when will sleep return. And it is largely out of my control. Also get anxiety and got to manage that. Maybe tonight will be a good night.
[Th...]
Sleep returns, but not when we want it to and not in the quantity we want For some (like me) sleep took a long time to resolve. That doesn't mean it's always terrible. For about the first 9 - 10 months after my CT sleep was mostly bad, but I did have some good nights here and there. It slowly got better. Today I sleep 6-8 hours every night and get an off night of 3-4 hours about every 2 or 3 months It's hard to do, but try not to care if you sleep or not. You don't have control if you sleep or not anyway. Your body will get all the sleep it needs and micro sleep will sustain you until you get longer sleep periods. You are conditioned to believe you need X amount of sleep each night or else. That's simply not true, especially during Benzo induced insomnia. You are very early in your healing and recovery journey. Ashton says insomnia resolves for most in 6-12 months. Some take longer, some take less time. But again, that doesn't mean its horrible and then a switch is flipped and then it's good. It's UP and down until it evens out....1 step forward 2 or 3 steps back. Hang in there, it gets better. [He...]
Another not good night where I did not feel like I slept. All I can do is try to get thru my day and stay calm. Put one foot in front of the other. And hope today goes calmly and quickly.
