Sanitizer & Lorazapam

Hi, does anyone know the effects (if any) if sanitizer and taking lorazepam regularly in terms of any alcohol from sanitizer being absorbed into your body? Is that possible? We are using more sanitizer these days sometimes even ones that have an extremely strong tequila like smell, I’m concerned if any of it gets absorbed when making sure to stay alcohol free while taking benzos

I don't think that should be a problem.

I use sanitizer all day, every day and it has not had any bad effects on me.

If you are still taking benzo it should not be a problem.

 

I can't anymore after jumping, any tiny alcohol would set me back greatly

fwiw - I own a Q/A lab and we routinely do microbiology as part of our job.  Several times a day, we spray our hands and arms with generous amounts of 70% alcohol and never have I even felt a hint of any alcohol absorbed (and I'm pretty experienced with alcohol intake).

 

The skin is a pretty effective barrier against most things.

I wonder if you realized this quickly or if you used it for some time before you understood the connection? My husband experiences the same thing. If you used it for some time: For how long did your setback go on?
