Deciding on a method Dry or liquid Lorazepam Compound Pharmacy

Hello to all

Currently I am cutting .5mg pills lorazepam.

I talked to my doc and he said he would call my scrip into a compound pharmacy.  He said they have several option.

a. reform the pills into .25mg or other mg amounts as requested

b. give me a liquid form

c. put it in a lotion for topical dose

I hear pros and cons on the liquid. The topical haven't found anything on that.

Any feedback or advice is greatly appreciated.

I have no personal experience, no medical training and haven't read anything about using a topical but I would avoid the topical for just this reason, I've not read anything about using one.  If they worked, there would be members talking about it here and I've never seen it mentioned.  When we have members who are so sensitive to the tiniest micro-gram of change in their dose, I can't imagine a topical being able to deliver the medication without loss through the process.

The liquid sounds like the best option to me since you'd be able slow your taper down as you need to when you get lower in dose, if you got the pills, you'd still have to cut them.
