Alternate Day Taper

Hi all,

 

In about ready to cut from 5mg to 4.5 mg.

 

Rather than weighing pills, it would be easier if I took 5 mg one day then 4 mg the next.

 

Does anyone have experience of thoughts about this?

 

 

 

 

4.5mg is one 2mg pill and half a 5mg pill. If you are prescribed the diazepam, perhaps you can ask for a mix of 2mg and 5mg pills so that you can measure it out easier?

 

I doubt that it's a good idea to go up and down with the dose you are taking in that way.

We typically recommend a slow steady reduction to your dose, going up and down on your dose could create a see-saw effect making you uncomfortable. 

I agree with the other posters...up and down dosing is confusing to the nervous system. I’d stick with a steady downward dose.

I try the 2 mg plus half a 5 mg.

I did that in the beginning before I started my DLMT and it wasn't pleasant.  Way too straining on your CNS.
